AFX: Silver fixes higher, gold climbs in Europe |

- * Silver fixes at 1,129.00 cents, above its previous fix of
1,120.00 cents.
* Spot silver rises to $11.31/11.39 an ounce from $11.09
in late New York trade on Friday.
* Forward rates on Reuters pages indicated at 2.69, 2.72,
2.73, 2.75 and 2.65 percent for one, two, three, six and 12
months respectively.
* Gold climbs to $856.10/858.10 an ounce from $834.80 an
ounce in late New York trade on Friday.
* Bullion rises as losses on the equity markets prompt
investors to seek a haven from risk, although a firmer dollar
and losses in oil cap gains.
* Platinum rises to $956.50/976.50 an ounce from $950.
* Palladium edges up to $196/206 an ounce from $194.
