RTRS: FOREX-Dollar falls to fresh 4-1/2-month low against yen
NEW YORK, Oct 6 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar fell to a fresh four-and-a-half month low against the yen on Monday as stocks on Wall Street extended losses.
The dollar dropped to as low as 102.60 yen, according to Reuters data. It last traded down 2.6 percent at 102.62 yen .
U.S. stocks slid as widening fallout from the credit crisis fueled concerns about the economy and profit outlook. The Dow Jones industrial average .DJI fell 296 points in recent trading. (Reporting by Wanfeng Zhou; Editing by Tom Hals)
