FXS: LME nickel slips over 6 pct on economic worries
LONDON, Oct 15 (Reuters) - Nickel prices fell more than 6 percent on Wednesday to track other base metals lower as fears over the global economic outlook and demand for industrial commodities dominated sentiment.
Investors were worried that government efforts in the last week to bail out banks would not avert a global recession or a deepening credit crisis.
Nickel was at $12,050 a tonne from $12,800 at the close on Tuesday. Earlier on Wednesday it hit a low of $12,020.
