MW: U.S. stock futures extend losses amid economic data

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures took a turn for the worse amid data showing a September drop in U.S. retail sales and an overall decline in the producer price index, while the core rate climbed. Futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 239 points to 9,123. Those for the S&P 500 dropped 27.5 points to 974.80, while Nasdaq 100 futures were off 22 points at 1,344.
