MW: Oil futures extend decline on economic worries

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Oil futures extended their decline early Thursday, pressured by fears that a global economic recession will slash demand for oil. Traders also awaited the latest data on U.S. petroleum inventories due later in the session. Crude oil for November delivery fell $1.08 to $73.46 a barrel in electronic trading on Globex.
