AP: US dollar mixed, gold falls in European trading
LONDON—The U.S. dollar was mixed Thursday in European trading, rising against the euro and pound but falling against the Japanese yen. Gold prices fell.
The euro traded at $1.3459, down from $1.3510 late Wednesday in New York.
Other dollar rates compared with late rates Wednesday in New York included: 100.27 Japanese yen, down from 100.77, 1.1320 Swiss francs, down from 1.1347, and 1.1838 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1836.
The British pound was quoted at $1.72063, down from $1.7342.
Gold traded in London at $834.50 per troy ounce, down from $847.00 late Wednesday.
