RTRS: US STOCKS-Futures extend losses on housing starts
NEW YORK, Oct 17 (Reuters) - U.S. stock index futures extended losses on Friday as a report showing that housing starts slid in September heightened recession fears.
S&P 500 futures SPc1 fell 12.80 points and were below fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures DJc1 dropped 136 points, and Nasdaq 100 NDc1 futures fell 27 points. (Reporting by Ellis Mnyandu; Editing by James Dalgleish)
