RTRS: U.S. crude up over $4, eyes OPEC meeting, equities
NEW YORK (Reuters) - U.S. crude oil futures extended gains to more than $4 on Friday on expectations that OPEC's emergency meeting next week would result in a decision to cut output and as stocks on Wall Street rose on bargain hunting.
On the New York Mercantile Exchange at 1:02 p.m. EDT, November crude was up $3.75, or 5.37 percent, at $73.760 a barrel, after trading from $69.84 to $74.11 a barrel.
