CN: MCX, NCDEX indices succumb to weak global trend
MUMBAI: India’s major commodity bourses indices drowned today taking weak global reports. At present the MCX index declined by 22.12 percent to 2250 while NCDEX index down by 10.08 percent to 1856 points.
Yesterday’s upward movement in the crude oil and oil seeds contracts today drowned sharply due to the worsening global financial crisis. In the MCX counter, crude oil, nickel, natural gas, jute and bullion contracts are trading lower.
Whereas in NCDEX carbon credit, pepper, coriander, steel, crude oil and gold futures tumbled because the traders interested in profit booking on the back of weak global cues.
MCX top gainers: Cardamom, mentha oil
NCDEX top gainers: Mentha oil, kappas, castor seed, sugar, guargum
