RTRS: Platinum jumps over 3 pct on higher gold, oil
SINGAPORE, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Platinum gained more than 3 percent on Monday as a rebound in gold prices and strengthening oil spurred bargain hunting from speculators.
Platinum was trading at $878.00 an ounce, up $27.50 an ounce from New York's notional close, having fallen to $831.50 an ounce on Oct. 16, its weakest since December 2004, on fears of a global recession.
