RTRS: Palladium up 5 pct on bargain hunting, off 3-yr low
SINGAPORE, Oct 20 (Reuters) - Palladium rallied more than 5
percent on Monday on bargain hunting after the price dropped to
its weakest in more than three years last week, with bouncing
platinum also adding to the gains.
Palladium was trading at $178 an ounce, up $8.50
from New York's notional close on Friday. The metal, used in
autocalysts and jewellery, tumbled as low as $161 last week on
fears that a global recession would cut demand.
