NEW DELHI (Reuters) – The BSE Sensex extended gains to 3 percent on Tuesday, with sentiment underpinned by the Reserve Bank of India lending rate cut and gains in other Asian markets.
Index heavyweights Reliance Industries, ICICI Bank and Infosys Technologies were leading the gains.
At 11:14 a.m., the 30-share BSE index was up 3.0 percent at 10,530.26, with 26 components rising.
The broader 50-issue NSE index was up 2.78 percent at 3,209.60.
