FXS: Gold falls 2 pct as dollar strengthens, oil falls
LONDON, Oct 21 (Reuters) - Gold fell more than 2 percent on Tuesday to $777.30 an ounce as the dollar strengthened against the euro, curbing interest in the precious metal as an alternative investment, and oil slipped more than $1 a barrel.
Spot gold was quoted at $780.30/782.30 an ounce at 0844 GMT, down from $795.00 an ounce late in New York on Monday.
