AP: Dollar mostly up, gold falls in morning trading
LONDON—The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against other major currencies in European trading Tuesday morning. Gold prices fell.
The euro traded at $1.3234, down from $$1.3323 late Monday in New York.
Other dollar rates compared with late rates Monday included: 101.28 Japanese yen, down from 101.88; 1.1530 Swiss francs, up from 1.1509, and 1.1992 Canadian dollars, up from 1.1930.
The British pound was quoted at $1.7025, down from $1.7121.
Gold traded in London at $781.00 per troy ounce, down from $795.00 late Monday.
