MW; Crude futures fall, but hold above $70

By Myra P. Saefong

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- November crude fell $2.44, or 3.3%, to $71.81 per barrel Tuesday on Globex. The December contract will become the front-month contract at the end of the day's trading session on the New York Mercantile Exchange. December crude was at $72.30, down $2.09. "The dollar strength, expiration issues and usual trading activity has been pushing the market around, but it's really going to gyrate on what OPEC announces and if the participants believe there will be any concrete follow through by them," said Neal Ryan, a managing partner at Ryan Oil & Gas Partners.
