AFX: Platinum tumbles 6 pct on firm dollar, demand fears
LONDON, Oct 22 (Reuters) - Platinum fell more than 6 percent to a session low of $831 an ounce on Wednesday, as a strengthening dollar weighed on the metal which was already pressured by fears of falling demand from carmakers.
Spot platinum was quoted at $841.50/861.50 an ounce at 0852 GMT, down from $885.50 an ounce late in New York on Tuesday.
