Copper prices declined on the MCX today (October 22) on selling pressure by speculators on the back of weak global trend.
At the MCX, Copper, November 2008 contract opened at Rs 225 per kg as compared to its earlier closing of Rs 226.40. It tossed in the range of Rs 217.35-225 and last traded at Rs 220.40, down 2.65% (4.05 p.m., Wednesday).
Copper February, 2009 contract opened at Rs 228 per kg as compared to its previous closing of Rs 229.15. The last quoted price for the same was Rs 223.60, down 2.42%.
