AFP: Gold slips 2 pct as oil pares gains, dollar high
LONDON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Gold slipped 2 percent on Thursday as oil prices pared their earlier gains, removing support from the precious metal, and the dollar held near two-year highs against the euro.
Spot gold was quoted at $711.65/713.65 an ounce at 1027 GMT, down from $727.65 an ounce late in New York on Wednesday. Earlier it touched a session low of $709.85.
