RTRS: Gold falls more than 2 pct, hurt by econony woes
TOKYO, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Cash gold fell more than 2 percent on Friday as the global credit crunch and falling share prices overshadowed demand for the metal, which is traditionally considered a safe-haven asset.
Gold fell as low as $707.00 per ounce before trading at $708.80 by 0517 GMT, compared with New York's notional close of $722.50. (Reporting by Risa Maeda)
