TORONTO — The Canadian dollar opened at 78.65 cents US this morning, down 0.99 of a cent from Thursday's close. The U.S. dollar stood at C$1.2715 cents, up 1.58 cents.
Pound sterling worth C$1.9748 down 5.57 cents, and US$1.5531 down 6.39 cents.
The Euro was worth C$1.6003, down 2.06 cents.
