TORONTO — The Canadian dollar opened at 79.47 cents US this morning, up 1.51 cents from Tuesday's close. The U.S. dollar stood at C$1.2583 cents, down 2.44 cents.
Pound sterling worth C$2.0162 down 2.42 cents, and US$1.6023 up 1.16 cents.
The Euro was worth C$1.6099, down 2.11 cents.
