NEW YORK, Oct 29 (Reuters) - U.S. gold futures hit a one-week high on
Wednesday, trading above $760 an ounce as a combination of a dollar drop,
oil rally and steadier stock markets prompted heavy buying.
The gold contract for December delivery was up $18.70 or 2.5
percent at $759.20 an ounce at 8:29 a.m. EDT (1229 GMT) on the COMEX
division of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Its early peak of $764.80
marked the highest level since Oct. 22.
