STOCKS .BSESN .NSEI ----------------------- The 30-share BSE index up 7.66 percent at 9,737.30 points, after rising as much as 8.4 percent during the session, and the 50-share NSE index up 6.84 percent at 2,881.65 points. GOVERNMENT BONDS ---------------------------------------------- The 2018 bond yield at eight-and-half month low of 7.43 percent, as slowing inflation and tight cash conditions in the money market raised hopes policy makers may take fresh liquidity boosting measures. It closed at 7.51 percent on Wednesday. CALL MONEY -------------------- Call money rate at 20.00/21.00 percent, from previous close of 13.00/13.50, as outflows towards Wednesday's bond auctions further dried up cash in the system and demand for funds stayed high ahead of fresh bond supplies due later in the day. RUPEE -------------- The rupee at 49.38/39 a dollar, from the previous close of 49.69/70, tracking gains in other Asian currencies and a rally in the local stock market but dollar demand from oil refiners may prevent a further rise. INTEREST RATE SWAPS INROIS ------------------- The benchmark five-year interest rate swap at 6.61/6.69 percent. GOLD <0#MAU:> ------------- The December contract on the Multi Commodity Exchange of India at 11,762 rupees, down 25 rupees from the previous close.
