RTRS: Dollar trims losses vs yen after UMich report
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The dollar trimmed losses against the yen on Friday after a U.S. consumer confidence report for October came in broadly in-line with market expectations.
The dollar edged up to 98.40 yen from 97.98 before the survey.
The Reuters/University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers said its final reading of its index of confidence plunged to 57.6 in October from 70.3 in September, which was slightly below economists' expectations for a reading of 57.5.
