NEW DELHI: Base metals, copper and nickel on Tuesday turned weak in the national capital largely in tandem with weak global trends and lost up to
Rs 20 per kg.
Prices of copper super d rod and copper wire bar were down by Rs 20 each at Rs 245 and Rs 222 per kg, respectively.
Traders said reports that copper and other base metals were down at the London Metal Exchange on expanding stockpiles on global growth concern dampened trading sentiments here.
Nickel plate fell by Rs 10 to Rs 630-790 per kg. Lead ingot (Hindustan Zinc) 51, lead imported 52, aluminium ingots 112, sheet cutting 115, aluminium wire scrap 130 and aluminium utensils scrap 110.
