NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Oil futures rose early Tuesday, rebounding after falling nearly 6% in the previous session. Crude oil for December delivery rose $1.41 to $65.34 a barrel in electronic trading on Globex. On Monday, crude fell $3.90, or 5.8%, to close at $63.91 per barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange amid concerns about the impact of a global economic slowdown on energy demand.
