CB: Lower gold, copper prices hit Quadra Mining's bottom line
VANCOUVER, B.C. - Declining metals prices pushed down revenue and profit at Quadra Mining Ltd. (TSX:QUA) during the third quarter, offsetting higher production of gold and copper compared with the same period of 2007.
Quadra's net income fell to US$20.1 million or 31 cents in the third quarter, down from US$48.8 million or 90 cents per share for the third quarter of 2007.
Revenue from the sale of copper and gold fell to US$115.96 million from US$134.59 million a year earlier.
