PTI: Gold recovers on tight stocks positions, fresh demand

New Delhi, Nov 5 (PTI) Gold prices recovered by Rs 200 at Rs 12,000 per 10 gram in the national capital today on tight stocks position in the face of fresh demand among jewellers to meet the current marriage season requirement.
However, silver was unchanged at Rs 16,850 per kg.

Marketmen said restricted arrivals against heavy demand from jewellers for the marriage season mainly pushed up the prices, even as the metal in global markets plunged.

They said import of gold declined in view of a volatile price movement in the international markets, moving between 730 to 770 dollars an ounce last week.

Standard gold and ornaments gained Rs 200 each at Rs 12,000 and Rs 11,850 per 10 gram respectively. Sovereign held unchanged at Rs 10,500 per piece of eight gram.

Silver ready was unchanged at Rs 16,850 per kg and weekly-based delivery rose by Rs 50 at Rs 16,840 per kg. Silver coins fell by Rs 100 at Rs 26,800 for buying and Rs 26,900 for selling of 100 pieces. PTI
