AFP: Dollar mostly up, gold down in morning trading
LONDON — The U.S. dollar was mostly higher against other major currencies in European trading Thursday morning. Gold fell.
The euro traded at $1.2884, down from $1.2992 late Wednesday in New York.

The British pound was quoted at $1.5903, down from $1.5960.
Gold traded in London at $739.00 per troy ounce, down from US$753.75 late Wednesday.
