RTRS: FOREX-Dollar extends losses vs yen after US jobs report
NEW YORK, Nov 7 (Reuters) - The U.S. dollar trimmed losses against the euro and edged lower versus the yen on Friday after data showed the U.S. economy lost 240,000 jobs in October.
Markets were expecting job losses of 200,000 last month. Ahead of the report, some traders were expecting much sharper job cuts.
The euro was last at $1.2772 against the dollar from $1.2795 before the jobs report. Against the yen , the dollar slipped to 97.23 yen from 97.45 previously. (Reporting by Gertrude Chavez-Dreyfuss; Editing by Theodore d'Afflisio)
