KARACHI: The national currency Tuesday gained nominal value by 10 paisas at Rs80.70 against the greenback during trading at the inter-bank.
Forex market dealers said the rupee is stabilizing against the US dollar as compared to the past weeks. Hence, the value of rupee strengthened by paisas 10, while the value of dollar is seen depreciating in the open market where it is being bought at Rs79.50 and sold at Rs80.
President, Forex Association, Malik Bostan told Geo News that the US currency value has lost value amid operation carried out by the Federal Investigation Agency against the illegal transfer of dollar into Afghanistan.
