MW: U.S stocks down at the start after Best Buy Co. cuts outlook

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) - U.S. stocks opened lower on Wednesday, extending losses into a third day, as investors fretted about ailing financial and auto sectors and Best Buy Co. Inc. lowered its outlook, offering further evidence of weak consumer spending. The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 168.38 points to 8,525.58. The S&P 500 declined 16.81 points to 882.14, while the Nasdaq Composite shed 26.12 points to 1,554.78.
