LONDON (AP) _ The U.S. dollar was mostly lower against other major currencies in European trading Friday morning. Gold rose.
The euro traded at $1.2590, up from $1.2507 late Thursday in New York.
Other dollar rates:
—95.08 Japanese yen, up from 94.79
—1.2211 Swiss francs, down from 1.2233
—1.2772 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2842
The British pound was quoted at $1.4977, up from $1.4812.
Gold traded in London at $758.50 per troy ounce, up from $738.00 late Thursday.
