SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) - The price of crude oil has surged today along with a rally in the stock market.
Light, sweet crude for January delivery rose $2.94 to $52.87 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Gasoline prices have continued to drop overnight. Auto club AAA says the national average for regular fell about 2 cents overnight to near $1.91 a gallon.
That is more than 80 cents a gallon below what it was a month ago and more than $2 below where it was in July when prices peaked at $4.11 per gallon.
