LONDON (AP) - The U.S$. was mixed against other major currencies in European trading Wednesday morning. Gold prices fell.
The euro traded at $1.2973, down from $1.3022 late Tuesday in New York.
Other dollar rates compared with late rates Tuesday included: 95.18 Japanese yen, down from 95.65; 1.1926 Swiss francs, up from 1.1878, and 1.2273 Canadian dollars, down from 1.2282.
The British pound was quoted at $1.5310, down from $1.5440.
Gold traded in London at $817.00 per troy ounce, down from $820.50 late Tuesday.
