LONDON (MarketWatch) -- U.S. stock futures were under modest pressure Friday, signaling a slightly lower open for Wall Street as investors return from the Thanksgiving Day holiday.
S&P 500 futures fell 2.1 points to 884.10 and Nasdaq 100 futures were down 8.25 points to 1,186.25. Dow futures declined 3 points to 8,695.
Oil futures were under pressure. Crude for January delivery was down $1 to $53.44 a barrel.

U.S. markets were closed Thursday for Thanksgiving. No official government figures or other key economic statistics are set for release Friday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average gained 247 points, or 3%, to close at 8,726 on Wednesday. The S&P 500 added 30 points, and the Nasdaq Composite rose 67 points.
