By William L. Watts
LONDON (MarketWatch) -- Retail sales volume in the 15-nation euro zone fell by 0.8% in October, and declined by 2.1% compared to the same month last year, the statistical agency Eurostat reported Wednesday. Economists had forecast a 0.4% monthly decline and a 1.5% annual fall. September sales figures were upwardly revised, however. Eurostat said September sales were flat compared to August and down 1.4% on the year.
