MUMBAI (Reuters) - The BSE Sensex extended losses to 2 percent in choppy trade on Friday morning as expectations of a rate cut and government assistance for industry were outweighed by concerns about the economy.
At 11:49 a.m., the 30-share BSE index had pared some of its losses to be down 1.64 percent, or 151.78 points, at 9,081.68.
The 50-issue NSE index was down 1.28 percent at 2,752.30 points.
