LONDON (MarketWatch) -- European shares fell ahead of some key U.S. jobs data out later Friday. Oil and gas producers and mineral extractors led decliners, with BHP Billiton down 4.4% and BG Group down 2.2%. The U.K. FTSE 100 index fell 1% to 4,121.72, the German DAX 30 index dropped 1.1% to 4,515.84 and the French CAC-40 index declined 1.3% to 3,120.16.
