HS: Japan gasoline price falls to lowest since Mar 2005
TOKYO, Dec 10 (Reuters) - Japan's average retail price for regular gasoline has fallen to its lowest since March 2005, a research body said on Wednesday, as crude oil prices have dived more than $100 since hitting all-time highs in mid-July.
The average pump price of regular gasoline in Japan was 119.1 yen ($1.29) per litre ($4.88 a U.S. gallon) on Monday, down for the 18th straight week and marking the lowest since 117.6 yen hit on March 28, 2005, data from the Oil Information Center showed.
Note: Price per gallon calculated using U.S. gallons (1 U.S. gallon=3.785 litres).
