MCX Comdex – the composite index of metals, energy and agro-commodities was up by 0.41% at 1787.07 points, MCX Energy was down by 1.46% to 1800.03 points. MCX Metal moved up by 0.67% at 2048.07 points and MCX Agri was up by 0.1.76%.
BULLION:
Gold June 09 contract was up by 1.37% to Rs 12485 per 10 grams and gold M March 09 contract by 1.01% to Rs 12451 per 10 grams. Silver March 09 contract moved up by 0.52% to Rs 16911 per kg and silver M April 09 contract by 0.60% to Rs 17323 per kg. Gold Guinea February 09 contract gained by 0.59% to Rs 9891 per 8 grams.
METALS:
Copper April 09 contract was up by 0.78% to Rs 167.45 per kg, lead February 09 contract by 1.46% to Rs 52.25 per kg, nickel December 08 contract went up by 1.10% to Rs 467.20 per kg and aluminum February 09 contract by 2.25% to Rs 75.10 per kg while zinc February 09 contract lost by 0.87% to Rs 56.80 per kg.
ENERGY:
Natural gas February 09 contract moved up by 3.54% to Rs 283.40 per mmBTU and Crude oil March 09 contract moved down by 1.31% to Rs 2488 per barrel.
AGRICULTURE:
CPO February 09 contract gained by 4.01% to Rs 269.70 per 20 kgs, Refsoyoil January 09 contract by 3.96% to Rs 475.05 per tonne, cardamom December 08 contract went up by 3.55% to Rs 627.50 per kg, kapaskhali February 09 contract moved up by 0.74% to Rs 438.20 per 50 kgs, chana January 09 contract was up by 1.65% to Rs 2219 per 100 kgs, rubber March 09 contract by 2.67% to Rs 6156 per 100 kgs, mentha oil March 09 contract by 1.67% to Rs 555.60 per kg, potato March 09 contract rosed by 1.17% to Rs 519.30 per tonne and potatoRWR March 09 contract by 3.33% to Rs 372 per tonne while coriander January 09 contract lost by 3.76% to Rs 5433 per quintal, kapas April 09 contract went down by 0.49% to Rs 485.50 per 50 kgs jute January 09 contract by 0.20% to Rs 1716.50 per quintal and arecarashi January 09 contract by 0.20% to Rs 101.20 per 50 kgs.
GAINERS/ LOSERS:
CPO February 09 contract was up by 4.01% to 269.70 per 20 kgs and Coriander January 09 contract was down by 3.76% to 5433 per quintal.
