MW: U.S. retail gasoline prices fall to $1.66 a gallon

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Average U.S. gasoline prices fell by 2 cents to $1.66 a gallon on Thursday, according to the AAA Daily Fuel Gauge Report. A month ago, gasoline sold for $2.22 a gallon. A year ago, it sold for $2.99 a gallon.
