Reliance Infrastructure has surged nearly 5% to Rs 634. Reliance has rallied over 4% to Rs 1,311.
DLF has gained 3.7% at Rs 266, and Mahindra & Mahindra has added 3.4% to Rs 296.
Tata Power has advanced 2% to Rs 746. Reliance Communications, Ranbaxy and Hindalco are up over 1.5% each to Rs 243, Rs 213 and Rs 52, respectively.
TCS and Tata Motors have slumped 4.7% each to Rs 484 and Rs 153, respectively. Wipro has plunged 4% at Rs 240.
Infosys has tumbled nearly 3% to Rs 1,103. ONGC has shed over 2% to Rs 650.
Satyam and NTPC have slipped 1.7% each to Rs 221 and Rs 164, respectively.
Maruti and Bharti Airtel are down 1.5% each to Rs 503 and Rs 731, respectively.
The market breadth is positive - out of 2,390 stocks traded so far, 1,450 have advanced, 867 have declined and 73 are unchanged.
