MW: Gold and other metal futures fall in early trade

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures fell early Friday, breaking their four-session winning streak, as plans for a bailout of the auto industry collapsed in the Senate amid a dispute over union wages. Gold for February delivery fell $9.10, or 1%, to $817.50 an ounce in electronic trading on Globex. Other metals also posted losses, with copper falling 7.4% and silver falling 3.2%.
