Mumbai, Dec 15: The Precious metals further advanced today with Silver moving up by Rs 175 per kg to finish at Rs 17,335 and Gold was slightly higher by Rs 15 per ten gm to end at Rs 12,905 on brisk buying support and strong global cues, traders at the Bombay Bullion Association said.
Silver opened strong at Rs 17,300 per kg on fresh demand by ornament makers. Later, the white metal inched up by Rs 175 per kg to close at Rs 17,335 on speculative demand by local dealers.
Similarly, standard and pure gold opened high at Rs 12,920 and Rs 12,975 per ten gm respectively on better buying support.
Standard and pure gold slightly gained by Rs 15 and Rs 20 per ten gm respectively to finish at Rs 12,905 and Rs 12,965 per ten gm on sustained demand from stockists.
In Asian markets, Gold was recorded at USD 827.00/828.25 per troy ounce against 819.00/820.00 and Silver was at 10.37/10.38 compared to 10.15/10.16 per troy ounce from its previous level.
