NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Gold futures rose more than 2% early Wednesday, as other metals also posted gains. Gold for February delivery gained $19.30, or 2.3%, to $862 an ounce in electronic trading on Globex. In the currency markets, the U.S. dollar traded mixed against other major currencies.
