NK: Reserve Bank of India fixes reference rate at Rupees 47.28 per USD
Mumbai, Dec 18 : The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) today fixed the reference rate for US dollar at Rupees 47.28 per unit, eased by five paise from its yesterday's rate of Rupees 47.33 per dollar.
However, the reference rate for Euro rose by Re one and 53 paise at Rs 68.22 per unit from its yesterday's rate at Rs 66.69 per unit, an RBI release said.
The exchange rates for Pound and Japanese Yen against the rupee were quoted at Rs 73.4329 (Rs 73.9271) per Pound and Rs 53.68 (Rs 52.64) per 100 units of Yen, the release added.
