MW: Asian markets drop on oil producers
 
HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Asian markets dropped Tuesday after stocks retreated on Wall Street. Australian shares were weighed down by energy producers such as BHP Billiton after crude-oil futures dropped overnight. In Seoul trading, automakers Hyundai Motor Co. and affiliate Kia Motors Corp. (KIMTF:







, , ) slumped a day after they cut their combined sales target. Australia's S&P/ASX 200 index fell 0.4% to 3,544.80 and South Korea's Kospi shed 0.7% to 1,171.12, while New Zealand's NZX 50 index gave up 0.5% to 2,665.64.
