RTRS: Indian soyoil futures down on weak spot, crude
Indian soyoil futures were down on Wednesday afternoon, tracking weakness in the spot market as buyers waited for prices to fall in line with weak crude oil.
At 3:26 p.m. (0956 GMT), January futures NSOF9 on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange had fallen 0.33 percent at 464.15 rupees ($9.6) per 10 kg. The February contract NSOG9 was down 0.22 percent to 446.50 rupees.
Crude oil prices fell below $39 a barrel on Wednesday.
Prices in the spot market in central India fell 1.15 percent to 430 rupees per 10 kg.
Edible oils are used as biofuels, an alternative to crude. (Reporting by Abhishek Shanker)
