RTRS: Nikkei at 6-week closing high as recent fallers climb
The Nikkei share average rose 1.6 percent and hit its highest close in six weeks on Friday as investors picked up battered stocks such as Toyota Motor Corp (7203.T) on one of the last trading days of the year.
The benchmark Nikkei .N225 added 140.02 points to 8,739.52, its highest close since November 11.
